There is something so sweet and so special about documenting a family as they grow! I love that I am able to freeze moments in time and catch small glimpses of the future grown-up’s that the tiny humans in from of my lens will some day be. As I work with each family I have the pleasure of photographing I am astounded at how each child is a small reflection of each of their parents. I delight in catching the little nuances of how “she smiles like her dad” or “he wrinkles his nose like his mom when he giggles”. I particularly love seeing how older siblings are typically just naturally fascinated and drawn to show affection for their younger siblings.

This family and newborn portrait session was such fun! Little miss L was the perfect reflections of her loving and attentive parents who obviously allow her imaginations and spark of childhood joy to blossom in their care! I simply loved how thrilled she was to borrow a twirly white dress from my studio wardrobe and show me just how very well the layers of tulle would fluff and spin when she danced!

Little baby L is their newest addition and already has his sisters love! She was so careful when we placed him in her arms, and her pride as the big sister was unmistakable!

This family and newborn session is the kind of thing that just makes my artists heart sing, it was an absolute joy to create these special images for this darling family!
