Amber and Nick are getting ready to welcome their first tiny human into their family! What a gift children are. I remember thinking, when I was pregnant, that I couldn’t possibly love another person as much as I loved the little one growing inside me. I believed this to be fact until the moment I held her for the first time and heard her little cry (which stopped at the sound of my voice calling her by her name). THEN I knew my heart had expanded to a size I could never have imagined, and this little person filled every nook and cranny!
Babies have an amazing way of introducing both chaos and calm into a home. I don’t know if there is another season in life that contains such starkly juxtaposed emotions and experiences as the introduction of a new baby to the family. Joy and heartache in perfect balance as you realize that life will never be the same again. This little one has your whole heart gripped in their tiny palm!
I appreciate the unique privilege I have as a photographer to help document and preserve a time in a families life that holds such powerful emotions. As special as this time can be, it is also one that slips from memory so easily, purely because there is so much vying got ones attention with a new baby at home. It’s such a special but fast moving season and if you are not careful to intentionally store away the precious little moments and details they will easily slip from memory forever.
I am delighted to share this session and so pleased with the outcome of my time with Amber and Nick. Amber chose to wear four different dresses from my Client Closet and these happen to be some of my very favorite pieces! Enjoy their images!
